If Bloomberg functions are not working correctly in Excel—such as missing the Bloomberg ribbon, formulas not returning data, or slow performance—you may need to reset the Bloomberg Excel add-ins. Follow these steps to resolve most issues:
Step 1: Close All Excel Windows
Make sure all Excel spreadsheets are closed before continuing.
Step 2: End Excel Processes

Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager

Go to the Details tab

Right-click on EXCEL.EXE and choose End Task

Repeat for any additional EXCEL.EXE entries

Step 3: Reinstall Bloomberg Excel Add-ins

Click Start

Go to Bloomberg

Select Install Office Add-Ins
Step 4: Run the Installer
Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
Step 5: Open Excel
Once the installation is complete, open Excel. You should now see the Bloomberg ribbon at the top.
